Maritime lichens

A mediterranean oil beetle emerges from the centre of the frame, facing left as it climbs over short green grass. The beetle is partially visible with its shiny legs, head, neck, and 'fake-wings' clearly visible, and the beginning of its rotund, long matte-black, rear section apparent as it climbs upwards. Its antennae and legs have clear sections.
